As I’m still working with WordPress from time to time I decided to re-start my blogging.
I choose a simple virtual machine on one of my servers (nginx as reverse proxy in front) in KVM with one GB of RAM, 50 GB of harddisk and one CPU of type Intel Xeon E312xx (Sandy Bridge, IBRS update). It’s Debian 11, Apache 2.4, PHP8.1, MariaDB 10.11 with memcached 1.6.9 as session store and Redis 6.0.16 as simple key-value-cache.
I’ll do some performance tests later to compare this setup to standard.
